Fan: A character in JK’s new novel is obsessed with Niall

“She said his name was Niall. Niall. Honestly. One Direction. The band. They’re a band that came third on The X Factor,” Hazel says.

“She’s obsessed — she was obsessed — and Niall was her favourite. So when she says she’s met a boy called Niall and he’s 18 and he’s got a motorbike. I mean, what were we supposed to think.”

Career of Evil is the third book in JK’s Cormoran Strike series – published under the pen name Robert Galbraith.

The 50-year-old’s companion Harry Potter book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is currently being made into a film with Irish actor Colin Farrell among the cast.
