Fair City star George McMahon and partner Rachel Smyth have welcomed their first child.
The couple’s daughter, Frankie, was born on Friday, 11 days earlier than they expected.
Weighing 5lbs 4ozs, George, who plays Mondo in the hit soap, shared the first photos of his little girl.

Speaking to the Sunday World, George revealed his girlfriend picked the name.
“I don’t know where she got it from, but the closest thing we can think of is we’re telling people she named her after the Pope.”

George added he arrived “just in time” to see his daughter’s birth, saying the birth was “a really incredible experience”.
“I was over the moon and on the way home I put on Sister Sledge’s Frankie on the car stereo and sang along,” he added.
