Vivienne Connolly has revealed she decided to take part in Charity dance event Strictly Against Breast Cancer because she had cancer scare herself.
The Fair City star admitted that she found a lump on her breast and it frightened her.
“I haven’t talked about it as I dealt with it straight away after I found it,” she said.
“I remember thinking my bra was sticking into me and I put my hand there to find a little lump, it felt like a frozen pea.

“Doctors told me I would need to have it removed so I was booked in straight away.”
Vivienne was 22 at the time, and revealed she was then told it was “fragmented but
benign”.
“I will always remember those words, once I heard ‘benign’ that was all I needed to know,” she told the Sunday Mirror.
“It left a nasty little scar and I was quite paranoid about it when I was modelling especially for the first few years.

Meanwhile Vivienne, who runs her health and fitness programme Transform With Viv, revealed she would like to find love again.
The actress was married to Mark Dunne, son of Ben Dunne, and most recently dated TV producer John Norton.
“Of course we would all like to be with somebody but I don’t go out.
“The last time I was out was for Glenda [Gilson’s] wedding and I’m going out this weekend with my two sisters for dinner.

“So how am I suppose to meet somebody if I don’t go out?”
“Everyone knows I was seeing John Norton which was great but I don’t think my son Ben was quite ready.”
“The next guy they hopefully do meet will be the guy I’ll be with for ever or my partner, it just has to be that way for me.”
