Hollywood star William Shatner has called upon weatherman Deric Hartigan to star in the legendary Zoolander and the Irishman is up for the role.
The producer was replying to a tweet about a new script for Zoolander being penned when he gave the Irish man the nod.
“Zoolander? Can I make a casting suggestion? @deric_hartigan who is the Zoolander weatherman from Ireland!” William Shatner said.

The stylish TV presenter is open to the idea of starring in the hugely popular franchise.
“As for the Zoolander role; I’d certainly give it a shot! Never say never!,” he told Goss.ie.
Deric is also hoping to make a trip Stateside to meet with the 88-year-old acting legend.
“Hopefully, we’ll get the ball rolling and try fly out to LA in Sept; if only to do a TV interview with him,” he said.

The TV3 host first came to the Star Trek actors attention earlier this year when he tweeted him after seeing him on TV.
“You are the Zoolander of weather forecasters,” the legendary star tweeted.
Deric has made quite a name for himself when it comes to his fashion sense wearing bright and colourful combinations on TV.
