When asked how she was feeling ahead of performing on Friday for Euro song, Samantha said: “Petrified. I’m very, very scared and nauseous. I’ve been having the weirdest, like constant shakes I’m, that’s actually stressing me out. I’m like, no, I cannot go on that stage with a shaky hand.”
“I’m nervous and I’m hoping that it’s all good, positive nervous energy and I think it’s just because I really care and I’m just, yeah, I’m excited. So we’ll see. Yeah.”

Speaking on what it would mean to her to represent her country, she said: “I’m almost like, I almost can’t even go there ’cause I don’t want to like disappoint myself. And not even that, it’s that, listen, this is the name of the game. It is what it is, and whoever wins is gonna be who’s supposed to go forward.”
“But of course it would mean so much. I would be so honored to represent the country and do justice and just, I have so many ideas for what, you know, like the staging, you can just, there’s no rules. You can just go ham. So yeah, it would be incredible. It really would. Yeah.”

Giving a sneak peak at the meaning of her song of choice My Way, Samantha said: “I just wanted it to be something that, well, obviously it was gonna have to be something that’s personal to me.”
“That’s how I write. But the only way I can describe it, I just really feel like it’s my declaration and of of very much so who I am today as a woman and just kind of just the tone that I want to move forward in.”
“That’s very much so what it is. And I’m hoping that a lot of other people can relate to it and connect with it in their own way as well.”
The Late Late Eurosong Special will take place on Friday night on RTÉ One at 9:35.
