EXCLUSIVE! Irish singer Lyra reveals she’d love to start her own fashion brand

Lyra has revealed she’d love to start her own fashion brand.

The Irish singer is one of the judges on Virgin Media One’s brand new talent show The Big Deal, and is known for pulling off amazing looks both on and off the stage.

Speaking to Goss.ie at Dublin’s 3Arena, where the show was filmed, the Cork native said she would “definitely” consider designing her own collection.

Lyra said: “I was actually talking to my label about it. I was like: ‘Can we sit down and have a bit of a chat about coming up with a latex range that people can wear to the shop, go to Aldi in it?’ Stuff like that.”

“I’d like to do something for the girls who like to be that bit extra… I just want something for those girls who like the bit of the high-street edge fashion, can go into a shop and buy it, because I find that really difficult. I love out there fashion, and I can’t get it anywhere.”

“I love being a bit out there. I love a bit of Lady Gaga, I think she always brings it to that extra level. I’ve always been massively into fashion, so it’s something I want to continue throughout my career,” she added.
