At just 22-years-old Jack Reynor has already starred in a $200 million blockbuster, worked alongside Michael Fassbender and won an IFTA.
But life wasn’t always that easy for the What Richard Did star.
When he first moved to Ireland from Colorado he had to share a mattress with his grandparents.
And Jack admitted he faced money issues before landing the role of a lifetime.

Speaking to Goss.ie at the Irish premiere of Transformers 4, Jack said the movie has changed his life.
“I was in a very economically comprising situation at the time (of the audition) and so was the rest of my family,” he said.
“I headed out to LAÂ with just $40, I was really desperate to change the circumstances of my life at the time and it was miraculous the way it happened.
“I’m really grateful and I feel very blessed.”

The Wicklow actor, who attended Dublin’s Belvedere College, admitted he always hoped to be launching a movie in Dublin.
“Four or five years ago I’d think to myself that I’d love, someday to have the opportunity to launch a film in this cinema and have my family and friends be proud of me for it,” he said.
“And here I am tonight,with what is, at the moment, the biggest film of the year, it’s really amazing, it’s a really surreal experience.”

There have been rumours that Jack has already signed on for three more Transformers movies, but the actor said nothing has been agreed with director Michael Bay.
“Not necessarily. As it happens I’ve not had any conversations or any dealings about Transformers 4,” he said.
“But if the opportunity arises to come back and work with Michael again, I’ll absolutely jump at it.

Jack was also quick to deny he’s landed the lead role in Casey Affleck’s new movie.
Ben Affleck’s brother is directing a feature about baseball player Josh Hamilton, who fell from grace because of drug addiction.
“If I have the opportunity to work with Casey – he’s an amazing guy, great actor, a lovely person,” he said.
“The Josh Hamilton story is a really amazing one and if I have the chance to play that role I’ll definitely do it but as of right now there’s nothing confirmed.
