Hughie Maughan was the first celebrity to be booted off Dancing With The Stars tonight.
Despite being voted out in the first elimination round, the Big Brother star caused plenty of controversy on the show, after appearing excessively tangoed on last week’s episode.
Speaking to Goss.ie after being voted out, Hughie said, “it’s been an amazing opportunity to do this. I’m gutted obviously to be out”.
“It’s the nature of the beast and somebody always has to go, it’s an entertainment show.”

Hughie also revealed that the highlight of his Dancing With The Stars experience was, “Dancing much better this week, at least I can say that I tried my 100% best.”
The reality star also tipped Love/Hate star Denise McCormack to win the competition, and revealed plans to host a chat show with Katherine Lynch in the future.
Katherine had a hit show with Brian Dowling called the Wagon’s Den on RTÉ, and is rumoured to be scripting a new sitcom with Hughie.
“Katherine I got on amazing well with, we want to do a show together. She used to do Wagon’s Den with Brian Dowling, she wants me and her to do something like that,” he told Goss.ie.
“She has a travelling woman alter-ego so she wants to do that, and have me just as Hughie from Big Brother and Dancing With The Stars. That will be the person she’ll be on the show – like a Keith Lemon.”
