Eoghan McDermott has bet on his pal Laura Whitmore to win Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier this month, the Bray beauty was announced as one of the contestants for this year’s BBC series – and Eoghan reckons Laura will be crowned Queen of the dance floor.
Speaking to Goss.ie, Eoghan said, “I think she can win it. She’s just a ball of energy, beautiful, and everybody loves her – and she’s Irish which certainly wouldn’t hurt.

“She has unbelievable rhythm, I’ve never seen her dance like any kind of choreography, I’ve just seen her on a dance floor.. but she is always the life and soul of the party.
“So I think she’s gonna absolutely smash it. I’m really curious to see what she’ll be like doing actual choreography, but I’d say she’d be worth a sneaky bet,” he laughed.
Meanwhile, Eoghan also revealed to Goss.ie that he sees X Factor host Dermot O’Leary as a role model.
