EXCLUSIVE! Dermot Bannon teases more ‘rows’ and ‘drama’ on new season of Room To Improve

Dermot Bannon has teased more “rows” and “drama” ahead of the latest season of Room To Improve.

The hit show is set to return to our screens for its 14th season.

Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie at the RTÉ New Season launch, Dermot admitted: “I’m kind of dying to say [viewers can expect] loads of different things, but actually, no.”

“It’s the usual – people’s homes, voyeurism, fights, rows, budgets, drama and the same as I suppose, what people love about Room To Improve,” the architect continued.

“Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.”

Dermot has been hosting Room To Improve since 2007, and just one year later he established his own architectural firm Dermot Bannon Architects (DBA).

Dermot is also set to return for a new season of Dermot Bannon’s Incredible Homes which will see him travel to Catalonia, Spain and Edinburgh, Scotland.

“We were looking at different kinds of projects, because of the way things are at the moment. We looked at really cool houses and ways of building houses. It’s not just going into multi-million euro houses anymore, it’s about incredible houses.”

“Whether they’re built incredibly, or they’re positioned incredibly. So the word incredible takes on something new now. I learned a huge amount from it, and it’s not just about how much the houses cost.”
