EXCLUSIVE: Claudine Keane opens up on joining reality TV, as she talks Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Claudine Keane has revealed whether she would ever consider joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The mother-of-two spoke exclusively with Goss.ie ahead of her launch with SPAR’s Better Choices Back to School Campaign, where she spoke about her friend and star of RHOBH; Dorit Kemsley.

The hit reality series shows the lavish lifestyle of several women in the West Hollywood city, and has been a popular binge watch since it dropped on Netflix this summer.

When asked would she ever consider appearing on the glamorous show, Claudine admitted: “It’s a funny one that, I’m not sure about reality TV.”

“It works for some people well and I think you have to have the right mindset for it. I’m not sure if I would, but I admire people for making a success out of it.

“It’s very admirable and people do very well out of them, but you just really have to want to do it I think,” she confessed.

Claudine admitted that while she has yet to watch the latest season of the show, it is next on her list: “I think Dorit is bringing some good fashion looks this season I’ve seen on Instagram so I must catch-up on the series!”

“It’s only because we watch things in the evenings and Rob doesn’t really watch those type of shows with me – he’s more into the sports docs or the true crime. I’d have to be on my own which won’t happen for a while, but it’s next on my list to binge!”

Claudine revealed that she has been asked to appear on Dancing With The Stars, admitting it might be something she would consider doing “down the line”.

“Some of my friends have done it and they said it was really really intense training – which is great and it’s great to learn a new skill.”

“Obviously it’s been cancelled this year anyway, but I have been asked before to do the show. Maybe sometime down the line if I had the time but I don’t think it’s something for me at the moment.”

She added: “I’ve a competitive streak in me though! You never know…”

Claudine revealed that she and her husband Robbie were inspired to raise money for hospitals across Ireland, after her father contracted the coronavirus earlier this year.

We decided to do a fundraiser and managed to raise roughly 82k in the end. We were just delighted that we could pay back in any way for the kindness that the frontline workers showed to our family and the support they gave – they were incredible.”

If anything this whole lockdown has probably showed me it’s what great community spirit we have. People rallied around each other and supported each other through it. We’ll all come out of it better for that.”

There’s nowhere I’d have rather spent my lockdown. Knowing that I’m close to my family, I’d never feel like I was on my own here. I always know someone is just a call away. I couldn’t imagine doing this anywhere else.”
