The 33-year-old admitted that if the show does get adapted to film she would love to work on it as she praises the shows writer Alan Cubitt.

“But often that does happen where TV shows get adapted to film.

“I guess if that happens that would be something I would love,” she told Goss.ie.

“Anything to do that Alan Cubitt does, I will sign up for straight away.

“I just think he’s incredible. His writing is probably the best writing I’ve ever got to work with before.

Bronagh’s latest project is short film Heart Overheard – created by her director friend Dylan with her in mind.

“Dylan wrote the short with me in mind and it’s based on a friend of ours in Dublin called Adel who’s a make-up artist.

“We decided to shoot it when I had a day off from filming when I was in Vancouver a couple of months ago and we shot it all in one day,” she added.

“Part of the reason we chose to do it just with a voice over is because it meant we could film it in a very limited amount of time and were then able to do the ADR, the dialogue recording, afterwards.”

The BBC star further revealed that she found it a lot easier to relate to her character Adel in the film than other character’s she’s played.

“I think Adel’s probably closer to me than other character’s I’ve played in the sense that I think she’s very representative of how all of us are at the moment,” she said.

“I think nowadays with social media and technology and gadgets and stuff, we’re overcrowding our brains with information.

“Our brains end up becoming very messy and there’s a lot of ‘mind chatter’ or monkey mind as the Buddhist monks call it.

“You find it difficult to quieten. I guess that’s why there’s such a thing as mindfulness at the moment and trying to meditate.

“I think a lot of women and people can identify with that,” she explained.
