Brian Dowling has opened up about how he’s navigating life as a dad of two with his husband Arthur Gourounlian.
The Six O’Clock Show host welcomed his second child in June 2024, a baby girl called Blu Amar Rose Dowling Gourounlian. Brian and Arthur also have a two-year-old daughter, Blake Maria Rose Dowling Gourounlian.
Speaking with Goss.ie on the pink carpet at the 2025 Gossies on Saturday night, Brian spoke about how dad life is going.

“Having one child is chaotic… When we we had our second daughter I felt like when we brought her home – I feel like I now have eight children. Going from one to two is – wow, no one tells you,” said Brian.
He recognises how “amazing” it is as his daughters will always have “a best friend” but it’s “a lot of work.”
The TV star shared that Blu’s first word was “dada” and says it “all the time,” and Blake’s first word was “dada” as well.
“I’m winning – they can’t say papa, I’m delighted. No one gives a f**k about Papa,” he joked in relation to Arthur being referred to as ‘Papa’ at home.
“She’s [Blu] has two tiny little teeth and she’s eight months old tomorrow. She’s so cute. Such a happy baby.”
Brian also revealed that both Blu and his toddler Blake “both sleep, which is amazing.”
