EXCLUSIVE! Anna Daly opens up about working with the Garrihy sisters and her Weekend AM fashion

We chatted to Anna Daly about her style on Weekend AM and teaming up with the Garrihy sisters to take part in Beo Wellness.

The presenter opened up about her personal style compared to her work style at the launch of the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards 2019.

Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie about her fashion, Anna told us: “I would consider it a part of my life in the sense that I blog about it, my wardrobe for work is certainly a chunk of my work, but I don’t take it too seriously.”

“I have fun with fashion, I’m very conscious that at this stage you can’t please all the people all the time. So you wear something slightly different and some people will love it and some people won’t and that’s just the nature of it; and I don’t sweat it.”

“In work I think it’s probably more dressy. Even when you’re just in jeans you’re in jeans with a blow-dry and makeup and heels. You know it’s still quite glam,” she continued.

As for her style at home, Anna said that she keeps it casual: “When I’m at home with the kids I’m hair in a ponytail, hoodie, jeans, runners and very practical. So it’s fun to have, I suppose that little bit of balance in your life. To be that ‘no make-up on a Tuesday afternoon’ versus ‘glamour at the weekends. It swings in roundabouts I suppose and I actually enjoy both.”

“To have that little bit of balance is really nice. I think when you’re on maternity leave it’s all runners and jeans, and you miss that little bit of glamour I suppose. So, right now it works for me to have both in my life.”

The Weekend AM team recently got a new addition, as iRadio’s Aidan Power joined the show as a sports presenter: “There’s a lot of talk about Aidan Power being hot by the way. There is a lot of female interest in Aidan Power which is no harm for our show. I love Aidan, he’s a lovely addition.”

“He is a fellow Templeogue guy, I grew up in Templeogue, so did Aidan. So I had a bit of bias towards him before he even joined or before I even met him. I never met him before he joined the show, so yeah I love him,” Anna said.

“He’s just a sweetheart, really nice and a lovely easy comfortable kind of guy. He’s settling in more than okay, he’s part of the family.”

Meanwhile, Anna is currently working on other projects as she recently revealed that she’ll be taking part in Beo’s Spring Series.

“How could I say no to those gorgeous Garrihy’s? They’re like the Irish Kardashians or something aren’t they? I love the girls,” she told us.

“I meet them and I’ve worked with them on various different projects and interviewed them for various different things. Love them all actually individually and hadn’t seen the Beo workshop in action, but heard all about it, heard great things. I know it’s really popular, so I’m delighted to join their series for the Spring.”
