Alan Hughes has opened up about his feud with impressionist Oliver Callan, insisting he wants to “put it to bed”.
The TV3 star and the comedian have clashed back and forth recently after Oliver mocked Alan’s proposal to his partner of 22 years live on Ireland AM.
Speaking to Goss.ie, Alan said that he “doesn’t understand” the drama and that Oliver is the one that keeps pushing back with more insults.

“I want to put it to bed, he’s the one who keeps coming back with something… or he’s out somewhere and he says another thing.
“I just don’t understand it, and I just sort of go ‘you know what it’s done – it’s over’, and you know I was delighted and thought what I was doing was all done out of love.
“So that’s why I did it and if anyone has any comments on that – I don’t care anymore,” he said at 2FM’s radiothon in aid of ISPCC.
Alan is clearly tired of their bitter dispute adding:Â “I don’t have the time to even be caring about that any more.”

The Panto star called for the feud to be ended, after he called Oliver a “bitter old queen” when the comedian branded his proposal on Ireland AM as “self-promotion”.
On a happier note, Alan is currently working on his latest panto Beauty and the Beast, and is very excited to get going as this year will be his 21st year doing pantos.
“I’m really excited about it. I think it’s going to be brilliant this year, this is my 21st year doing pantos so it’s a bit mad,” he added.
