Everyone is saying the same thing about Estonia’s Tommy Cash performing his song Espresso Macchiato at the Eurovision final as it’s being branded as offensive.
The song was written by Tommy himself – whose real name is Tomas Tammemets – alongside Finnish songwriter Johannes Naukkarinen.
Following his performance, viewers wasted no time in taking to social media to express their dismay over the song’s lyrics and the act itself touching on many Italian stereotypes.

One person wrote on X: “I’m with the Italians . That was downright offensive from Estonia.”
Another penned: “Arguably one of the most offensive things if your are Italian but brilliant by #Estonia espresso Machiatto!!”
A third added: “Estonia song could definitely be described as racist and I’m not even Italian…”
In addition to this, Gian Marco Centinaio, an Italian senator with the far-right League, shared his annoyance over the song and took to Instagram to write : “Whoever insults Italy must stay out of Eurovision.”
“This singer should come to Italy to see how good people work before writing such stupid songs full of stereotypes,” he added.
Despite the criticism he’s received, Tommy remained positive ahead of the Eurovision final and said: “Everyone coming to me is like ‘I’m from Italy, you’re a legend there and we’re so happy to have your song.'”
