Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson has spoken about how she thought she was a boy when she was a child.
The 24-year-old, who is currently working on Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, revealed she was so taken with iconic director 1980’s film ET that she insisted on being referred to as the lead character’s name – Elliot.
“It’s so fun to work with Steven. I was obsessed with ET when I was a kid,” she said.

“I cut off all my hair and made everyone call me Elliot. I was absolutely a boy for two years of my childhood.
“My mum would say ‘Eve, dinner’s ready’ before going ‘sorry, I mean Elliot, dinner’s ready’,” she told The Sun.
Meanwhile, the Dublin beauty was recently rumoured for role in the new Robin Hood flick Origins.
