Erin McGregor does her part to raise awareness for autism

Erin McGregor is taking to social media and the red carpet to raise awareness for autism.

On her Instagram stories this morning, Erin shared a snippet of an interview with Xpose, in which she explained the special symbolism in one of her favourite red carpet looks.

Discussing a beautiful dress made by designer Synan O’Mahony for the annual VIP Style Awards, the mum-of-two said: “I think fashion is all about expressing yourself, and this year I wanted to bring awareness for autism.”

The stand-out gown featured a mid-length blue train, and was perfectly complimented by Erin’s fresh makeup and perfectly styled bob haircut on the night.

‘I tried my best to bring as much awareness for autism by wearing the colour blue on the red carpet,” she penned in her Instagram stories.

“I’m not sure it got the awareness it deserved but I will continue to keep trying” she told her 130k followers.

Erin previously spoke to Goss.ie about the stunning gown, saying: “Blue is one of the colours used for autism awareness.”

“So my one request to Synan was please let’s bring some blue and bring it to the red carpet to make awareness for autism.”

Erin is well known for her stylish credentials, and scooped Most Fashionable Woman of the Year at this year’s Gossies.
