Ed Sheeran has broken the record for the most tickets sold by an artist in Ireland in one day.
Over 300,000 tickets were sold for his 2018 tour on Saturday, for the seven dates he’s set to play in Ireland in May 2018.
Six of the seven dates are now sold out, and there’s a limited number of tickets remaining for the Wednesday May 16 date at Phoenix Park in Dublin.

The news comes after fans vented their frustration yesterday after being forced to wait hours in a “virtual queue” on the Ticketmaster website.
Ticketmaster responded on Twitter, and urged fans not to give up and not to refresh the page as the site was very busy.
Fans also camped out overnight all over the country in order to nab tickets, and some had even been queuing since Wednesday.
