Donald Trump's Irish golf course suffers €2.5m loss

Donald Trump’s Irish golf course at Doonbeg in Co. Clare has suffered a 2.5m loss.

The Apprentice host bought the golf course and resort last year for just under €9m with accounts filed for the company – TIGL Ireland Enterprises – revealing that Doonbeg suffered the loss between February and December of last year.

The company blamed the loss on various start-up costs incurred as part of the acquisition of the business.
