Domhnall and Brian Gleeson team up to write comedy series

Domhnall and Brian Gleeson have teamed up to write a comedy series.

The brothers recently starred in their father, Brendan’s directorial debut, Psychic which was written by their brother, Rory and had music from their fourth sibling, Fergus.

The pair have reunited again to create a six-part comedy series and Domhnall told RTÉ: “I’m writing with Brian, and my friend Michael Moloney, and we’re writing something that we’re hoping to be making with Channel 4; just a six-part half hour series.”

“That’s been really good fun, so I mean, if that happens that would be great, but I wouldn’t direct that, I think I’d be in that. Brian would be the lead.”

Domhnall added that he would hope the director they used for the pilot episode would continue working with them if they get the chance to create the entire series.

The actor hopes to work on more comedies in the future: “I’d like to keep doing funny stuff, I think if I was going to do something it would have to be funny, the drama thing I adore but trying to work on something that’s funny keeps you alive.”
