Dolores O’Riordan’s mother has spoken out about the airplane assault which happened two days ago.
The Cranberries singer was arrested and later taken to hospital to be “assessed” after allegedly attacking a flight attendant and then hitting a garda.
“I was not surprised something like this happened. It was something that was waiting to happen,” Eileen explained.
“She is seeing a doctor and everything depends on that. I don’t know what is going to happen next.

“We are just waiting to see. She is getting the help that she needs,” she told the Irish Sun.
The Cranberries star was arrested after she allegedly stamped on the foot of an air stewardess and tried to head-butt and spat at a garda as he tried to arrest her on Monday morning.
According to reports Dolores, 43, refused to sit down in her business- class seat as the flight from JFK in New York was preparing to land at Shannon Airport at around 5am.
The flight attendant was later taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.
