Disney issues casting call for major movie being filmed in Wicklow

Disney are looking for extras to appear in their upcoming movie, Disenchanted, which is being filmed in Wicklow this summer.

Filming will take place between May and August in Enniskerry, where a massive film set is currently being built.

Videos posted by RTÉ News journalist Helen Donohue on social media show the Enniskerry Schoolhouse for Art being transformed into a Disney palace this week.

Disenchanted will be set ten years after the 2007 film Enchanted, and will see Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams reprise their roles as Robert and Giselle.

Clocktower Productions are handling the casting call, and people can apply through Movieextras.ie.

The casting call states: “Clocktower is committed to diverse, inclusive casting.”

“Submissions for non-descript roles will be accepted for all performers, regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, disability, race, color, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity or any other basis prohibited by law, subject to legitimate casting objectives.”

The movie is set for release on Disney+ in 2022.
