Des Bishop has insisted that there’s no rivalry between him and his comedian brother Aidan.

The siblings most recently worked alongside each other at the Vodafone Comedy Festival, and despite competing in the same industry – it doesn’t cause any conflict, according to Des.

“He is the one I worry about the least of all the people.

“If something good happened to my brother, I would be the happiest man,” he told the Herald.

The comedian, who was raised in New York city, said that him and his brother Aidan are very different performers.

“I find him very funny. We live together in Ireland. We make each other laugh in our own way.

“He’s a very different performer to me, so I guess some people prefer his style,” he said.

The 40-year-old even admitted that if his younger brother “ended up being super successful”, it would benefit him too.

“If Aidan ended up being super successful that would be more cash in the pool to help us do what we do,” he added.
