The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly has revealed that Irish footballer Robbie Keane snubbed him at his wedding.
A fan of listening to his mother, Mary Black, before a game, Danny revealed the sports star asked his mum to perform at his wedding while he backed her on guitar.
“My mam sang at his wedding and I went and played guitar for my mam, just backing her and I was like this is going to be great but he’d absolutely no time for me at all but then he was like I’ll come see you play in London,” he said.

However, the Irish rocker’s snub didn’t end there when he didn’t get the footballer’s number.
“Then my mam text me one day going ‘I see Robbie Keane has a new number, did you get it?’ no I didn’t make the cut,” he added.
Speaking on Spin 1038’s Fully Charged, the Dubliner revealed that Robbie and his wife Claudine are such huge fans of Mary Black that they sometimes call her up and sing to her.

“After the wedding, a few months after, there was one night, when him and Claudine were half cut, rang up my mam and started singing her own songs to her down the phone and she was loving it,” he said.
“Robbie is a really nice guy and my mam and him get on really well.”
Meanwhile, The Coronas are playing Belsonic in Belfast tonight and then V Festival in the UK alongside Kodaline this weekend.
