Danny O'Donoghue: 'I couldn't get a single date on Tinder'

Constantly being linked to beautiful women, you’d think The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue would be able to land a date on Tinder – but you would be wrong.

Revealing he failed to get a single date on the app, the Dubliner admitted he has suffered some major dating setbacks since joining Tinder.

Danny who has previously dated model Irma Mali and X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos hasn’t had the same success getting an online date.

Speaking on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard, the 34-year-old opened up about his online dating woes revealing it was tough to convince potential beau’s it was him on the app.

“I was joking around with being on Tinder… but no one believes it’s me.

“She’s [dream girl] probably watching now and thinking ‘OMG (oh my God), it was true’,” he laughed.

Backing up his friend’s story, bandmate Mark Sheehan echoed Danny’s dating mishaps.

“He put his own face on it [account], he was honest and tried to get a date but people didn’t believe it was him,” Mark said.

However Danny isn’t the only one not succeed on the dating app with bandmate Glen Power admitting people didn’t believe it was him when they spotted his profile.

Resorting to inviting women to gigs, the musician admitted noone would believe his was looking for love online.
