Daniel O’Donnell is on WhatsApp and he’s loving it – but admitted that he did have a rocky start with the messenger app.
The country singer was on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, and admitted that he uses the app to keep in touch with his Strictly friends.
“I didn’t even know what a WhatsApp group was!” he told RTÉ TEN.

Daniel revealed he was introduced to it by Jeremy Vine, another past contestant on the dancing competition.
“[Jeremy Vine] set up a Whatsapp group.
“Even this morning, we’re getting messages,” the 54-year-old said.

Daniel went on to describe the banter that happened in the group.
“The first message was Jeremy saying ‘Watching you Carol Kirkwood [ITV weather reporter] giving the weather’ and she said ‘I’m watching you on the Brexit thing’,” he laughed.
The Donegal native name dropped some of the Strictly stars in the group, like Katie Derham and Helen George.
“All on the blower, so we have great fun,” he added.
