Daniel O’Donnell has admitted that he ‘blew a gasket’ when architect Dermot Bannon first revealed how much his home renovation would cost.

The country crooner and his wife Majella are having their home renovated by Dermot, and the process will be documented in a special episode of RTÉ’s Room To Improve.

Speaking to VIP Magazine, Daniel said, “I did blow a gasket when I got the first pricing.”

“But now I’m more relaxed about it because I know that Dermot will do a magnificent job, even if he does drive me mad sometimes.”

Daniel also added that viewers may be surprised by his outburst.

“I was actually quite annoyed with the whole thing. I’m not sure what they’ll show on TV but people might not think I’m quite as placid.”

The news comes after Daniel previously admitted that they were meant to move back into their newly renovated home before Christmas, but the project was pushed back to February 2018.
