Daniel O’Donnell has revealed that he will miss his mum’s feedback when he takes the the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor.
Last week, the Donegal man was listed as the eighth and final contestant for the popular dancing show.
“My mother would have loved it. She was very supportive and got great fun out of everything I did, as she did with everyone else in the family,” he said.Â

The Dungloe natives mother passed away last year aged 94 and said she would have been his biggest fan.
“If I didn’t win Strictly and she was still around, she’d say, ‘oh you were robbed’, so I’ll miss her feedback.
“If it was any other year I couldn’t have done it because I always perform a residency in Branson, Missouri, at that time of year, so maybe my mother had a hand in it,” he told The Herald.
Support: Daniel is married to Majella and they did a show together on UTV
The 53-year-old will be facing stiff competition from Georgia May-Foote from Coronation Street and Jeremy Vine but Daniel has been keeping an eye on the other competitors.
“Several people have told me that Peter Andre has a six-pack,” Daniel said.
“I just have a one-pack at the moment, so I’ll have to work on that,” he added.
