Dancing With The Stars producers have their eye on Nathan Carter

Nathan Carter could be set to don his dancing shoes next year, as Dancing With The Stars producers are keen to book him.

The country singing heartthrob would be a perfect addition to the 2018 line-up, and rumour has it – the Liverpudlian could be interested.

A TV insider told the Irish Sun, “Nathan has sold out every venue in this country. What comes next? TV, and there’s a perfect fit between Dancing with the Stars and Nathan Carter. They both appeal to Middle Ireland.”

RTÉ are hoping that after Daniel O’Donnell’s success on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Nathan will have the exact same effect on the Irish show.

“Nathan Carter is a much bigger name than anyone who danced in season one but the success of the show means the ‘stars’ on Dancing with the Stars next year really will be stars,” the source added.

Meanwhile, producers are also keen to launch a DWTS Ireland countrywide tour next year, similar to Strictly Come Dancing’s tour in the UK, as there was a phenomenal demand for tickets to the live show’s this year.

A show spokesman said, “We could have the venues booked even before the live show starts on TV next year.

“It will be a totally different conversation with promoters now they’ve seen Dancing with the Stars and know how popular it is on TV. It all makes sense.”

Meanwhile, RTÉ are yet to recommission a second series of the hit dance show.
