Curtis Pritchard has hit back at ex-Maura Higgins as he claimed: “she can’t keep my name out of her mouth.”
Maura split from Curtis in March 2020, just seven months after they struck up a romance on the 2019 series of Love Island.
The former couple didn’t exactly end on the best terms, as the professional dancer was accused of “cheating” on the Longford native – which he later denied.

Maura talked extensively about her Love Island experience on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast last month.
The 33-year-old presenter called Curtis a “why not” man, claiming that she only dated him since there weren’t many other men in the villa.
While attending the Irish Post Awards with his current girlfriend Sophie Sheridan, Curtis retaliated against his former partner.

When asked if he had tuned in to Maura’s latest podcast appearance, Curtis exclusively told The Sun: “I’ve no idea what’s she done. I don’t even know what Podcast you’re on about. I have no idea.”
He added: “She can’t keep my name out of her mouth, can she?”
Curtis said: “he wouldn’t be listening to Maura’s scathing comments anytime soon.”
During the episode, Maura confessed that Curtis wasn’t her “dream man” and that he wasn’t even her “type,” but she chose to give it a go since she didn’t fancy anyone else at the time.
Maura explained: “When you’re locked in a house, I say locked but you’re in a house and you’re in there for X amount of time.”
“You’re going to start liking people that you wouldn’t normally like.”
“Not to be mean but you are, you’re in there. I’m pretty sure it would probably be the same on Big Brother. You’re locked in a house, you’re not seeing any other men. You’re going to be like ‘why not’.”
Paul laughed before asking: “So there’s a bunch of why not men in there?”
Maura replied: “Well yeah! They’re not your dream man. It’s the aim of the game.”
She continued, “They think they are in love, but the minute they go home, they’re going to kill each other.”
According to Maura, being confined with persons of the opposite sex can make you believe that you have feelings for them.
In 2023, the pair had an awkward run-in with her ex, Curtis Pritchard, while appearing on Love Island Games.
In an interesting turn of events, the former ring girl was just one of the former contestants who was set to come face-to-face with their ex while filming the show.
The Longford native discussed seeing “too familiar” faces on Love Island Games – including her ex Curtis.
Kem cheekily asked if he should actually call Curtis her “ex”, saying: “Well, we have to say ex really nowadays. By your reaction, it was a bit of a weird one, wasn’t it?”
“Do you know what, like, everyone’s very excited about this because obviously they know that I would have had to interview him like, if he gets dumped from the show or if he makes the final,” Maura explained.
“So yeah, we could have a run-in there. So yeah, I mean, I don’t know how much I can say but… it was interesting.”
“I’m sure there will be an interview at one point?,” Kem questioned.
The Longford native revealed: “Yeah, there is an interview. Like, I don’t really know if I can say that or not.”
“But I mean, there is an interview and I’m trying to think back like how it went like I think it was okay, I think I was nice. I think,” Maura continued.
“I think there might have been moments where I wasn’t too… polite, but I think I made it more of a joke.”
