Curtis Pritchard has admitted he feels “hurt and betrayed” by Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor’s romance.

The 24-year-old dated Maura after meeting on the 2019 series of Love Island, before announcing their split back in March this year.

Earlier this week, Maura confirmed her relationship with fellow Love Island star Chris by sharing a loved-up snap on Instagram.

Speaking to The Sun about his ex’s new romance, Curtis said: “I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to.”

“When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt. I was upset. How long has this truly been going on for?

“They said they would never ever be together, and here they are,” the dancer added.

“If I bump into them, I’ll just say congratulations and I hope it really does turn out to be ‘the one’.”

The news comes after Curtis finally broke his silence on claims he cheated on Maura.

Following the news of the former couple’s split, Curtis was pictured kissing professional dancer Amber Pierson just months after she denied claims that they hooked up behind Maura’s back.

After the photos hit headlines, Maura cryptically tweeted, “The truth always comes out in the end,” before she and a host of other Love Island stars unfollowed Curtis – including Chris.

Addressing the speculation on his podcast with brother AJ Pritchard, Curtis set the record straight: “The answer is no, I did not cheat on Maura at all. There I’ve answered it.”

Maura and Chris met on the 2019 series of Love Island, where they struck up a close friendship – which has since blossomed into romance.

The couple compared themselves to Friends couple Monica and Chandler – who fell in love on the hit series after years of friendship.

The Love Island stars went public with their romance by sharing the same loved-up snap on Instagram.

Chris wrote: “Turns out I fell in love with my best mate ♥️”, while Maura said: “He’s mine❤️
