Limerick singer Dolores O’Riordan is no longer with her husband of 20 years Don Burton.
The Cranberries star is said to have split with Don, who was the former tour manager for Duran Duran.
Dolores’ mother Eileen revealed the pair have gone their separate ways.
“She is going through a marriage separation at the moment. That’s hard for anyone,” Eileen said.
Eileen told the Limerick Leader that Dolores is now being closely monitored by doctors. “She has a nurse with her and a doctor who visits every day because she can’t go out.”
Then singers mum added that Dolores’s children know she is unwell.
“They just know mommy isn’t well at the moment,” she said.

Speaking about the incident this week where Dolores was arrested for allegedly assaulting a flight attendent and a Garda, Eileen said it was a stressful situation.
Eileen said seeing her daughter in a prison cell was painful.
“Dolores was inside a room, she was lying on the floor, curled up. She had her head covered and her face covered up.
“She is suffering from a lack of sleep over the weeks and her brain is racing all the time,” Eileen said of the air attack.
“She is working very hard. When she was in New York producing her album, she kept saying ‘when I go home to my mother in Ireland I will be fine’.

Dolores, 43, has been through tough times recently. The singer revealed last year that she was abused as a child, and that she suffered from depression and anorexia.
Speaking about her depression last year Dolores thanked her husband for helping her see the light.
“Don showed me love I never knew. I love him and the kids with all of me. They are my salvation. They saved me,” she said.
Dolores and Don have three children together nine year old Dakota, Molly,13 , and Taylor, 16.

The news comes after Dolores allegedly assaulted an air hostess and attacked a Garda in Shannon Airport this week.
Dolores was reportedly arrested and later taken to University Limerick Hospital to be “assessed”.
