Conor McGregor ‘never wants to fight in Las Vegas again’

Conor McGregor is rumoured to have said that he never wants to fight in Nevada again.

The MMA star was given a hefty fine of $150,000 and 50 hours community service for throwing a glass bottle at a UFC press conference in August.

“Conor McGregor hit me yesterday and said, ‘I don’t ever want to fight in Nevada again. Ever,'” UFC boss Dana White said.

Some of the biggest events in the UFC take place in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been the Crumlin native’s stomping crowd since his MMA career success.

“Now how does that make sense for the state of Nevada, that you’re going to try and fine this kid – and Nate – that much money,” Dana told Fox Sports.

“It just makes people not want to come and fight in our state and that’s not a good thing.

“And guess what? Conor McGregor doesn’t need Nevada. He could fight anywhere. He could fight in Iowa, okay.

“We can put his fight on an Island off the coast of anywhere. It just makes no sense for the state.”

Conor is set to fight Eddie Alvarez for the first time in November.
