He handed himself in after instruction from Dana White that his plane wouldn’t be allowed to leave New York following a violent disruption at a UFC223 media event.

The Dubliner was reportedly looking for one of the fighters set to take his lightweight belt at the event this weekend.

McGregor wasn’t the only fighter caught up in the chaos with Cian Cowley also being charged with one count of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor assault, while Dana White told TMZ Artem Lobov is “obviously not fighting this weekend” after he also took part in the disturbance.

Three fights have been cancelled so far this weekend due to the incident, which left lightweight fighter Michael Chiesa with a lacerations on his face from a shattered bus window.

McGregor and his entourage stormed a bus the fighters were on and attacked it with a metal barrier before fleeing he scene.
