The Voice of Ireland is to return to RTÉ One
Despite rumours that the talent series was facing the axe, the broadcaster confirmed today that the show will be returning to Sunday nights.
In a statement released today by RTÉ they announced that The Voice of Ireland will return.
Produced by Screentime ShinAwil, a fifth series of The Voice of Ireland will air in January 2016 in the 6.30pm Sunday evening slot.
“The decision was made by RTÉ television following a tender process for programme ideas for the Sunday evening slot which was open to independent production companies,” the statement read.
It comes after rumours that Louis Walsh was bringing Ireland’s Got Talent into RTE.
