Colm Hayes has commented on Anton Savage’s shock departure from Today FM.
The former 2fm star admitted that Anton’s decision to leave the station seemed “bitter”.
“The way it happened was quite bizarre. He sent out a press release and then they came out with theirs,” he told the Herald.

Anton announced that he was leaving the station in a shock statement earlier this month, after a number of disagreements with Today FM bosses.
The presenter first joined the show in 2014, and also worked closely with their charity campaigns Shave Or Dye and Dare To Care.
Speaking about his departure, Colm also noted that “you don’t want to burn bridges”, when the Irish radio industry is so small.
