Colin Farrell is reportedly in negotiations with Warner Bros to star in The Batman.
According to Deadline, the Dubliner looks set to star as villain The Penguin in the flick.
This will be the iconic actor’s return to a comic book based world since he played Bullseye in Daredevil back in 2003.
Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman are also set to star in the film.
The trio of evil doers will wreak havoc on the city of Gotham as Batman, played by Robert Pattinson, attempts to foil their plans.
The Penguin was last played by Danny DeVito in 1992’s Batman Returns.
The movie has yet to begin filming, despite almost filling their cast’s key roles.
Andy Serkis is in talks to play Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler.
The film is due in Irish cinemas in the summer of 2021.
