Coldplay’s Chris Martin gives Irish fan €50 after being scammed by ticket tout

Coldplay played for 80,000 delighted fans in Croke Park on Saturday night – and some fans shelled out serious money for a ticket.

However, one Irish fan has revealed that after being charged €200 for a ticket from a tout – his luck turned around after bumping into Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin in Dublin.

Jamie Harrington took to Twitter last night to reveal how Chris Martin made his day after meeting him at The International Comedy Club.

“So just met Chris Martin from Coldplay in work and he is the soundest bloke ever,” he wrote.

“He gave me €50 cause I told him how much a tout charged me,” he added.

Speaking to the DailyEdge.ie, Jamie said, “I met him in the international bar and he was the soundest person on earth!”

“Told him how a tout charged me €200 for a ticket to the show and he offered to refund me and then dropped me €50.”
