Cliona Hagan reveals she wants to represent Ireland in the Eurovision

Cliona Hagan has revealed that she would love to represent Ireland in the Eurovision.

The country singer is currently competing in RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars and admitted that she would love the opportunity to sing for Ireland in the Eurovision.

On Friday it was revealed that Sarah McTernan would represent Ireland in the competition.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Cliona said: “The Eurovision was a big part of my childhood, I am proud make all of our cousins would gather to watch it together, I have very fond memories of those times.”

“I would love to represent Ireland in the Eurovision if they allowed me to,” she added.

“I would be honoured to represent my country in such a prestigious event, maybe in 2020, you never know.”

Speaking of Sarah being Ireland’s entry, Cliona said: “She is such a lucky young girl and I wish her the best of luck, I hope Ireland do a fantastic job this year.”

The 30-year-old has been wowing the Dancing with the Stars judges throughout the competition, as she received the first ’10’ of the series and the first perfect score.
