Cillian Murphy sends fans into a frenzy as he reads them bedtime stories

Cillian Murphy has sent his fans into a frenzy, as he teamed up with Calm to read bedtime stories.

The Peaky Blinders star is the latest celeb to lend their voice to the popular meditation app, with the likes of Harry Styles and Matthew McConaughey also helping listeners drift into a peaceful sleep.

The Cork native read Phoebe Smith’s Crossing Ireland by Train in the apps Sleep Stories section, which brings listeners throughout the island by imaginary train while Cillian describes the serene surroundings.

“Tonight, we take a trip across my home country of Ireland,” he begins the story, “It isn’t a very large place, in fact only about 6 and a half million people call the whole of the island home.”

News of Cillian’s bedtime story send Twitter into a frenzy last night, with fans delighted to hear the voice of the actor as they drifted off.

One fan tweeted: “Cillian Murphy? On calm? I will be sleeping for about 3.75 decades thank you x”

Another wrote: “Just saw an ad for Cillian Murphy’s sleep story on the Calm app and it played a little snippet of it and now I want him to read me a bed time story every night.”
