Cassie Stokes has opened up about reconciling with her long-term girlfriend Kathleen, after the pair split last year.
The Xposé presenter dated Kathleen Sylvie Marie for three and a half years before the pair briefly split last year, however, the couple have now reconciled – and they’re happier than ever.
“We got back together and she’s moved over here now. She moved over here two weeks ago, so everything is brilliant, amazing.
“She has a job, she’s now in Paris for the next four weeks training. So she moved over for two weeks, then maybe she had enough of me and made sure she was training in another city,” she told Independent.ie.
The 29-year-old moved from Canada last April to join TV3’s Xposé, and now she’s finally been joined by her long-term love.
“She brought her dog and everything, so I’ve got the family back. I’m absolutely thrilled. I’m very lucky that she’s over here and she’s brilliant. Everyone will meet her and be like, ‘Why are you with Cassie?'”
“I’ve got one more Canadian over, and she’s fallen in love with Dublin and she’s more than happy to be here, well until her visa runs out!” she laughed.
Although the pair have now settled in Dublin, Cassie and Kathleen will return to Toronto very soon for Pride Week.
“We’re going to go to Toronto for Pride in June. We met there four, five years ago. It’s a good tradition after our year we’ve had of not being together. It’ll be nice to go back to Toronto as a tourist and be able to come back and have Dublin,” she added.
