Bryan Cranston recalls the ‘fantastic time’ he had on an Irish session

Bryan Cranston has opened up on the “fantastic time” he had in Ireland, and especially on an Irish session.

The Hollywood A-lister has strong Irish roots, as his great grandmother was a Bower from County Clare.

He says, “Typical Americans of course, we hadn’t a clue where places were. We thought she had come from Cork because that starts with a C.”

The actor told The Irish Sun that he had a great time on his first Irish pub session, “We had a fantastic time, especially in Doolin when we slipped into McConnell’s pub to escape a drizzly afternoon.

“I was sitting there with a bowl of Irish stew and a pint of Guinness, when a music session started. There was a baby crawling around the floor of the pub, after his father went up to play.

“The baby crawled up my leg and sat on my lap while the session went on. When he finished playing his father came over and picked him up.

“What I loved was how calm and relaxed the whole thing was. We had a lovely, easy-going time.”
