Brooke Scullion has broken her silence after missing out on a spot in the Eurovision final.
The Derry native represented Ireland in Thursday night’s semi-final, performing ‘That’s Rich’ in the Pala Olimpico Arena in Turin, Italy.
The 23-year-old went up against 16 other countries, but only ten of them made it through to Saturday’s grand finale – Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Australia, Sweden, Romania and Serbia.
Brooke took to Instagram after the results of the semi-final were revealed, and thanked her fans for their support in an emotional video.
She said: “Ok so it didn’t go our way tonight. We are so, so happy with what we did. It just maybe isn’t for me right now. But maybe in the future, maybe bigger things are going to come.”
“I’ve literally got an EP coming out, so who knows? Thank you so much to everyone who voted. I couldn’t have done any more. I’m so happy, so thank you.”
