An episode of the classic Irish comedy series Father Ted will now come with a trigger warning.
The 1998 episode entitled Are You Right There, Father Ted? will be accompanied by a guidance note informing viewers that they might find it offensive due to language and racial impersonations.
Channel 4’s streaming service will show a message reading, “This episode was made in 1998 and contains language and racial impersonation which some viewers may find offensive.”

This episode features Father Ted (Dermot Morgan) seemingly making fun of Chinese people by placing a lampshade on his head and pulling back his eyes.
The Irish priest later goes on to impersonate Hitler with sharp arm gestures, and stands behind a perfect square behind a window appearing as a moustache.
The remainder of the episode follows Father Ted trying to convince everyone in the parish that he’s “not a bit racist.”

Father Ted was created by Irish writers Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews.
The series first ran on Channel 4 for three seasons from 1995 to 1998.
