Brian McFadden has confirmed that he’s signed up for this year’s series of Dancing on Ice.

The 38-year-old revealed the news via video link on ITV’s Lorraine this morning.

The former Westlife star said: “I’m very excited. I’ve already been practising out the back garden on my rollerblades and my mum says I’m a one man Torvill and Dean.”

Brian will join former Strictly pro James Jordan, Richard Blackwood and Gemma Collins – who have already been confirmed for this year’s series.

The news comes amid reports that Westlife are set to reunite without Brian, as they’ve signed a new deal with Universal.

Since leaving Westlife in 2004, Brian embarked on a solo career, but teamed up with Boyzone alumni Keith Duffy in recent years to form Boyzlife.

The pair toured the UK and Ireland performing some of Westlife and Boyzone’s greatest hits, however, their double act has been put on the back burner as Boyzone have since reunited to mark their 25th anniversary.
