Bressie introduces A Lust For Life’s latest campaign with top Irish musicians

Roisin O, May Kay and Jerry Fish lend their voices for the campaign

Bressie has brought together a team of Irish musicians for the latest A Lust For Life campaign to sing some of the world’s favourite Christmas songs.

The Blizzards front man revealed in recent years his struggle with mental health and co-founded the social enterprise in October 2015.

“We are starting A Lust For Lift Songs In The Key Positivity,” he said.

“[It] is exploring how powerful music can be and music therapy, and how it can help people.”

A Lust For Life has joined forces with some of Irelands most talented singers and musicians to create a live Christmas EP, which celebrates not only the festive season but highlights the power of playing and listening to music and the healing effect music can have on our lives.

“Personally for me, [music] has been a massive help all my life – playing it, listening to it, performing it.

“Because it’s Christmas, we’re going to do Christmas songs first. We’ve amazing musicians, we’ve incredible singers. We’re going to take a couple of songs and see what we can do with it and hopefully you at home watch it and enjoy it.

“Hopefully it lifts your mood a little bit. That’s what we’re here for.”

On their YouTube channel, the enterprise has musicians like Roisin O, May Kay and Jerry Fish singing classic hits like Please Come Home For Christmas, Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas respectively.
