Brendan Courtney explains the ‘Amy Huberman effect’

Brendan Courtney has explained the ‘Amy Huberman effect’, after she caused a jumpsuit he designed to sell out in just eight minutes.

The actress attended the prestigious Oscar Wilde party over in LA during Oscars week this year, and donned a stunning white jumpsuit from Brendan’s line Lennon Courtney – and now the style guru is explaining just how Amy caused it to sell out in under ten minutes.

“She borrowed a white jumpsuit from us, and I ran up to the press office in Dunnes, grabbed the jumpsuit, and met her on the side of the road,” he revealed on 2FM’s Breakfast Republic.

“She wound down the window, threw it in the back of the car and she span off. Like it literally was like that – so there’s no ‘when are you wearing it, what are you doing?’, there’s no plan.

“And then she just tweeted herself going to the Oscar Wilde party, jumping in the jumpsuit, being gas – and it sold out in about eight minutes,” he explained.

Speaking about the ‘Amy effect’, the 37-year-old actress previously admitted that while it was “flattering”, she takes it with a pinch of salt.

“I think you have to ignore that a little bit, it’s lovely and it’s flattering but I think you just have to wear the stuff that you like to wear and take it with a pinch of salt,” she told Independent Style.

However, Amy’s style inspiration isn’t limited to the high street, as it was revealed last year that Irish women are STILL lusting after her wedding dress – six years later.

Stephanie Allin, the Welsh bridal designer who designed Amy’s dress admitted, “There isn’t a week that I don’t get at least two calls enquiring about the dress that Amy wore,” last October to the Irish Independent.

The news comes after Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon recently unveiled the gorgeous Lennon Courtney AW 16 Collection.
