Boy George has become the latest celebrity to weigh in on the upcoming abortion referendum.
The vote on women’s bodily autonomy takes place in less than one month, on the 25th of May, and Boy George has urged voters to repeal the 8th amendment.
He took to Twitter to express his views on the reproductive rights issue.

He stated, “I hope Ireland votes yes on a ‘women’s right to choose’ because no women has an abortion on a whim.”
Many celebrities have spoken out about the issue in the past few days including actresses Amy Huberman and Aisling Bea.
The London (and more recently LA) based comedian is urging Irish people abroad to support the campaign to repeal the 8th amendment even if they no longer have the right to vote here.

Sherlock’s Andrew Scott also told Goss.ie that he will “absolutely” be voting yes on May 25th.
The actor expressed his support for the repeal movement at the world premiere of The Delinquent Season.
He also had high praise for the sex ed bill which passed through the second stage of the Dáil last week.
