U2 star Bono has described George Clooney’s wedding as “very emotional and lovely”.
The Dublin singer was one of the top VIP’s invited to the lavish nuptials in Venice as he wed acclaimed lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
And Bono is the first star at the wedding to speak about the wedding of the year.
After joking: “Wedding? What wedding? I was at a bar mitzvah,” he added: “The party was great. It’s still going on… in some people’s minds. [The ceremony] was very emotional and lovely.”

He was among a list of celebs at the wedding of the year, with Hollywood stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour, Cindy Crawford and Bill Murray.
All the stars took a boat along the Venice canals to the seven-star resort where he tied the knot with Amal.
Like the other guests Bono was transported to the ceremony by boat.
The U2 singer is set to spend the next few days in Italy, as George and Amal’s wedding is a four day celebration.
